  • Assist students in establishing both short-term and long-term academic or personal goals, followed by outlining the steps to accomplish them.

  • Assist students in overcoming procrastination and creating strategies to begin work promptly.

  • Provide tools and strategies to help maintain focus, reduce distractions, and enhance concentration.

  • Teach techniques for managing and structuring information, such as note-taking systems, memory aids, and chunking strategies.

  • Guide students to adjust when plans change, shift between tasks smoothly, and manage unforeseen challenges.

  • Promote reflection, review work, and track progress on goals or assignments.

  • Provide strategies to manage stress, frustration, and test anxiety that disrupt productivity.

  • Schedule regular check-ins to reinforce habits, ensure consistency, and celebrate progress.

  • Assist students in applying skills outside of school into everyday life, demonstrating that executive function skills can be learned and improved.

  • Foster self-confidence in students by encouraging them to recognize their progress, take on challenges, and trust in their ability.
